We’re proud to share that Dr. Sugarman was featured in Connections, the Menninger Clinic’s quarterly publication. The article, titled “Impaired Insight Improved Through Interdisciplinary Team Approach,” appears in Winter 2019 (Volume 11, Issue 7).

In this piece, Dr. Sugarman collaborates with the Menninger team to illustrate how an interdisciplinary approach—combining psychiatry, psychology, social work, and family support—can lead to improved outcomes for patients experiencing severe mental health symptoms and challenging behaviors. Through careful coordination and communication across various specialties, the team helped the patient gain insight into her condition, better manage her symptoms, and establish new coping strategies for long-term stability.

This article underscores Dr. Sugarman’s commitment to holistic, patient-centered care, and highlights the power of a collaborative treatment model to address complex cases in psychiatry.
